Urban and regional planners are responsible for developing concepts for the sustainable development of cities and regions. They find solutions for spatial problems in a city and also develop strategies, for example to counteract housing shortages in the long term. The urban and regional planners then present their drafts to the relevant building committees.

The urban and regional planners are only involved in public construction projects and spatial planning projects.
